The centre has been built to include the expanding Brecken Health Practice, a Pharmacy and various Specialists. The building has over 3500sqm of floor space which is constructed over two levels. It contains 19 Doctor’s Offices, Treatment Room, Procedure Room, Gym, ablutions and allocation of six additional tenancies available for lease.
Construction
Civilcon carried out all concrete construction within the company. This section of work included all ground slabs, tilt panels, suspended slabs and stairs. The structure consists of pre-stressed concrete beams, precast concrete floor slabs and precast concrete tilt panel walls. Also, portions of the external walls feature an Exterior Insulation and Finishing System (EIFS) with a texture coat render. The system provides the building with insulation and acoustic properties.
Challenges
The Client required the building to be completed within a tight timeframe due to their lease expiring. Civilcon overcame several issues that were out of Civilcon’s control and also attended to numerous design changes throughout construction to ensure the project was completed on time.
